The family traveled to the spectacular Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas for Christmas day and stayed Christmas night. We were mysteriously upgraded to "arguably" the best room at the resort....top floor, center of lobby, interior room with balcony overlooking all of the Christmas glitz and glamour. The kids enjoyed the life size Gingerbread House, the breakfast with Charlie Brown, the ICE exhibit with "Peanuts" ice scenes/sculptures, and sledding down the hill on the man-made snow (and the simple things like the glass elevator and "cool" balcony)!

Polar Express! BELIEVE!
The family took the Polar Express (Texas State Railroad) to the North Pole to see Santa. Cookies and Hot Chocolate made the ride extra tasty (and messy)! In response to the infamous question from Santa, "What do you want for Christmas?" Max responded, "a new flashlight" and Caroline Grace responded, "a new robe". They have stuck to these requests! Do we have high maintenance kids or what??

Caroline Grace heads to school!
Caroline Grace started Kindergarten this past Wednesday. She actually missed her first 2 days of school (Monday & Tuesday) with a severe stomach virus! She seems to love her teacher, her classmates and the school!

Trip to Greece, Greek Islands, and Turkish Coast
A photo album from our trip to Athens, Greece; the active volcano island of Nea Kameni; the Greek Islands of Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes; the Turkish coast villages of Bodrum and Kusadasi; stops at the House of Virgin Mary & Ephesus....with the trip concluding in Istanbul, Turkey. Absolutely amazing scenery and natural beauty combined with 7 nights on a quaint boat, the Greek Mythology, Biblical history, Medieval history, architectural amazement and cultural exposure to Europe and Asia made this trip amazing (oh yeah, 10 days without the kids was nice too...thanks to Grammy!).

Caroline Grace loses her first tooth!
Caroline Grace lost her first tooth today. Mommy had the honors of "playing dentist"! She was tough and now just waiting for the tooth fairy!

Caroline Grace played for the Polar Bears this year and did great. She was on the same team with her best friend Lily. Granna & Papa O made it to the first game of the year and Grammy made it to the final game. Lots of fun!

Peyton Manning Fans!
The kids were excited for the Super Bowl, although Peyton Manning and Colts could not make it happen! The kids were already asleep when Manning threw the costly interception in the 4th Quarter and Daddy conveniently forgot to tell them about it!
